APPLICANTS ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE A NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Admissions to the FYJC Class for all the three institutes under Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal popularly known as MITHIBAI COLLEGE, N M COLLEGE AND AVP (GOKALIBAI) JUNIOR COLLEGE WILL BE THROUGH ONLINE PROCESS. Application forms are available on the following website from 20TH JUNE 2011.

3. The applicant can fill the form online from his/her residence or cyber café or any location where computer and internet facility is available.


4. Students who have passed the X Std. Exam through CBSE Board are eligible to apply ONLY if they have appeared for the CBSE BOARD EXAMINATION and NOT at the examination conducted at school level. Applicants who have passed their examinations from CBSE Board are required to submit a certificate from the Principal / Head Master /Head Mistress of the school stating that the student has appeared for the Board Examination and not the School Examination. NO FORM WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THIS CERTIFICATE.


5. The procedure for submitting the form through online system is as given below


1. Log on to the website www.mithibai.svkm.ac.in / www.nmcollege.in
2. Click on the link for admissions to FYJC -2011
3. The form is in Adobe Format and you are required to have Adobe Reader (Version 9 or above) on your computer. Click on the http://get.adobe.com/reader/ link for free download of Adobe Reader.
4. Download the video and the application form.
5. Alter the security settings as per the instructions in the video
6. The downloaded form can be filled Offline i.e. without the internet connection.
7. Open the form and fill the form as per the instructions given.
8. You can apply ONLINE for
• Arts Stream at Mithibai College
• Commerce Stream at Mithibai & N M College
• Science Stream at Mithibai & AVP (GOKALIBAI) School
• MCVC Courses under Science Stream at Mithibai College (for all categories)
• MCVC Courses under Commerce Stream at N M College (for all categories)
• Bifocal Courses (for minority category only) at Mithibai College and AVP (GOKALIBAI) Junior College. 
9. You will be required to fill separate form for each stream/courses.
10. Confirm that the form is filled properly.
11. Connect to the internet and Submit/Upload the duly filled form by clicking on the submit button.
12. Once the form is uploaded, you will be assigned an “Inquiry Number”.
13. Save the form and then take the hard copy i.e. the printout of the form.
14. Attach the photocopies of the documents listed below:




DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION FORM:

• Photocopy of the mark sheet of S.S.C. / equivalent qualifying examination.
• Photocopy of the school leaving certificate.
• One photograph (to be pasted on the admission form).
• Any other certificate as required.
• Students applying under GUJARATI LINGUISTIC MINORITY must satisfy the following norms:


1. SHOULD BE GUJARATI BY BIRTH AND SHOULD HAVE PASSED THE S.S.C. /EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION FROM MAHARASHTRA
2. In case if the student is not GUJARATI by birth but the mother of the applicant is Gujarati, then marriage certificate of the parent indicating mother's maiden name must be produced for verification.

In case of doubtful surnames, the parent can produce their 10th std. Mark sheet indicating Gujarati as one of the subjects opted at 10th std. Or a certificate from the head of the community / trust / institution (govt. Registered) confirming the claim.


15. SUBMISSION OF THE FORM: You will be required to submit the hard copy of the application form and the documents as per the distribution given below


• Commerce Stream including MCVC courses in Commerce: N M College
• Science & Arts Stream including MCVC and Bifocal courses in Science: Mithibai College
• Also collect the copy of the prospectus of the college to which you have applied on payment of Rs. 50/- per college.


16. Kindly note that you will be considered AS APPLICANT and shall be treated eligible for admission to the FYJC Class if and only if you submit the hardcopy of the form and the relevant documents at the college mentioned above and take an acknowledgement from the college. SUBMISSION OF THE HARDCOPY OF THE FORM ALONGWITH THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AT THE COLLEGE IS NECESSARY FOR YOUR NAME TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF APPLICANTS AND FOR ADMISSIONS. NO APPLICATION FORM WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLINE.


1. The merit list will be prepared from the applications received at the college within the prescribed time period.


2. Seats in the Junior College will be allotted as per the merit and order of preference of the applicant. However, choice of the optional subjects/optional languages in a junior college is subject to the availability of seats for that optional subjects/optional languages in that junior college.


3. Applicant whose name appears in the merit list of a particular junior college fails to secure admission in that junior college within the time period allotted, will have no claim in that junior college for subsequent merit list and will also be dropped from all the subsequent merit lists.


4. Applicant whose name appears in the merit list of the most preferred college i.e. the college with FIRST preference must take the admission in the college within the prescribed time period failing which the candidate will have no claim in that college and will be dropped from all the subsequent merit lists for that stream.


5. It is pertinent to note that maximum one betterment option may be given to the student who is allotted the college which was the SECOND preferred college by the student. BETTERMENT OPTION WILL BE IN THE ASCENDING ORDER OF THE PREFERENCE OF THE STUDENT. This facility will be available provided the applicant secures admission in the college allotted to him.


6. If your name appears in the merit list, you will be required to secure the admission by paying the requisite fees and submitting the documents as specified below: DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF CONFIRMING THE ADMISSONS (i.e. after the name appears in the merit list)


• Original Mark sheet (please keep at least two certified photo copies of the mark sheet for your future use)
• Original School Leaving Certificate  along with attested true copy (please keep at least two certified photo copies of the School Leaving Certificate  for your future use)
• Three recent unused copies of photographs of identity card size (3.5 cams x 3.5 cams)
• Five self addressed envelopes with postal stamps of Rs. 5/-affixed on each of the envelope.
