Department of Zoology

The Dept. of Zoology along with UGC Academic Staff College, University of Mumbai, designed and hosted a Refresher Course in ‘Biological Sciences’ (Entrepreneurial and Industrial Biology) from 11th Oct. 2010 to 30th Oct. 2010. The valedictory function for the same was on 30th October, 2010 in IIPS auditorium. Hon’ble (Smt.) Varshatai Gaikwad, Minister for State Higher, Technical & Medical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, had consented to be the Chief Guest but was unable to attend the function. Dr. Rajan Welukar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of University of Mumbai and Shri Bhargavbhai Patel, Executive Committee Member, SVKM were Guests of Honour. Shri Sunandan Divatia, Hon. Secretary of SVKM presided over the function. A national summit on ‘Quality in Education’ with the theme ‘Quality Education : Innovation for inclusiveness’ was organized at Bhaidas Auditorium on 22nd Oct. 2010. Dr. Anil Kakodkar was the chief guest.
