Placement Overview

College has a Placement Committee comprising of the Placement Officer, the Trainer, the Faculties and the Student Coordinators. This committee is the prime force responsible for all the activities of the Training and Placement Cell, providing opportunity for Part Time / Full Time jobs in reputed Organizations to eligible students. The college is also associated with a web portal to assist in the placement program.
Mithibai College is proud of the fact that top companies like Google Inc., Infosys, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, D.E. Shaw, KPMG, Financial Technologies, Direct-I, JP Morgan, Kotak Securities etc. have recruited and also interacted with the students on campus. In addition to Final Placements the College actively encourages students to take up internships and trainee programmes in companies like Direct-I, Wizcraft Intrnational, Nomura, Kraft Education etc.
The placement record of the college is a proof of the confidence shown by the industry/corporate in our students. We extend our sincere thanks to the Indian Corporate World for showing its trust in our students for the placement of third year student from the courses such as BMS, BCom, BA, BSc. MSc etc.

Soft Skill Training

At Mithibai emphasis is placed on the all-round development of the students, thereby equipping them to face life after college. The soft skills training provided to the students assist them in identifying and achieving their own personal potential.
To make the student corporate ready, the first year focuses on laying a foundation on the English Language Skills. The second year focuses on Self management and People Skills which include programs on Personality Development, Presentation skills, Goal Setting, Confidence building Conflict Management, Inter-personal Skills, Negotiation Skills, Team building and Decision Making. A pre-placement package in the final year focuses on Interview Skills, Group Discussions, Business Etiquettes and Work Ethics.
The soft skill training is compulsory for all the students and the minimum attendance for soft skills training is in accordance with the university rule of 75% minimum attendance; failing which the college will take appropriate measures.

Placement Events and activities

Mithibai College pro actively invites companies to come on campus to interact with the students in an open and friendly environment to better understand and actively engage the students in events designed to initiate them in the corporate world more positively and with greater clarity of purpose.

Placement Process

The placement process for the academic year 2012-2013 is tentatively scheduled from November 2012 to February 2013.
Placement process of the recruiting companies will comprise few or all of the below:

• Pre-placement talks (PPT) by Company (Mandatory)
• Written Test/Aptitude Test
• Group Discussion
• Personnel Interview

The selected students will be available to join the company tentatively in the month of May-June 2013 after completion of their final exam.
